Customer background introduction
The customer is the world's largest pangasius producer, an advocate and pioneer in the whole industry chain of pangasius, with a farming area of 6.2 million hectares, a fillet production capacity of 1,000 tons, and 32 storage centers around the world.
The customer has established a production base in southern China to process, produce and sell pangasius, including raw materials, further processed products and by-products, as well as other products such as Qingjiang fish, blackfish and sea bass. The whole production and processing has strict process standards and quality requirements, and is an enterprise with a combination of quality and strength.

Corporate goals and demands
The customer's processing plan was 45 tons per day, but the requirements for the two phases of the project were different. The first phase of the project requires to be completed and put into production in a short time, and the second phase of the project has a large amount of quick-freezing, which needs to reduce the quick-freezing amount per ton of goods by 40% under the condition of ensuring the needs of daily use, which puts forward clear requirements for energy saving of equipment.

Pain point 1: The first phase of the project is required to be completed and put into production in a short time.
CBFI solution: CBFI adopts direct expansion system.
Direct expansion system: the high-pressure ammonia liquid passes through the thermostatic expansion valve, becomes a low-pressure liquid after throttling and directly enters the evaporator, and returns to the compressor after endothermic gasification.
The whole system is simple and easy to install. This system is a one-to-one system, that is, one refrigeration unit corresponds to one chiller, with good oil return, no mutual influence, and a high degree of automation.

Pain point 2: The second phase of the project has a large amount of quick-freezing, and it is necessary to reduce the quick-freezing amount per ton of goods by 40% while ensuring the needs of daily use.
CBFI Solution: Different from the configuration of the first phase of the project, the second phase of the project adopts a flooded barrel pump system, which is suitable for large-scale integrated refrigeration systems.
Barrel pump liquid supply is a refrigeration system that uses the mechanical action of the pump to deliver low-temperature refrigerant liquid to the evaporator. The low-temperature refrigerant liquid after throttling first enters a fluorine barrel with a certain storage volume and a certain gas-liquid separation volume, and then transports the cryogenic liquid several times the evaporation amount to the evaporator in each warehouse. Part of the liquid is endothermic vaporized in the evaporator, and the rest of the liquid is returned with the vapor through the return gas pipe. After gas-liquid separation, the vapor is sucked away by the refrigeration compressor, and the separated liquid and the newly supplemented liquid equivalent to the evaporation amount are transported to the evaporator for recirculation.
Advantages of CBFI flooded barrel pump system:
1. The compressor adopts parallel design, which can be combined into a set of compressor units according to the system design, which can reduce the number of compressor units of the entire system and save the area of the machine room; At the same time, it is controlled by the valve design and serves as a backup function for each other.
2. Integrate innovative oil separation, cooling and oil return technology to ensure that the cooling capacity of the equipment is attenuated for a long time, and adopt a multi-stage refueling and high pressure oil return design to ensure that the oil will not run to the low pressure system.

Pain point 3: The customer's second-phase project has a large amount of quick-freezing, which requires a reduction in operating costs.
CBFI Solution: The flooded barrel pump system adopted saves customers 450,000 yuan in electricity bills every year while meeting the daily output of 45 tons of goods for quick freezing.
The heat is mainly taken away by the refrigerant liquid gasification absorption of the refrigerant in the evaporator, so under the condition of ensuring safety, the more refrigerant inside the evaporator, the higher the evaporator utilization rate of the flooded refrigeration system than the direct expansion refrigeration system, and the refrigeration effect is better; Under normal circumstances, in the case of shutdown of the direct expansion system, in order to avoid the risk of liquid hammer caused by the next start-up, will be evacuated, only a small part of the refrigerant liquid exists in the evaporator, and there is still more refrigerant liquid in the evaporator of the flooded system, in the case of shutdown, it can also evaporate heat absorption, maintain the storage temperature, avoid the rapid rise of the storage temperature, the number of evaporator starts and stops will be less than the direct expansion, more energy-saving;
Therefore, CBFI suggests that customers can lower the warehouse temperature as low as possible at night under the premise of peak-to-valley flat electricity price policy, extend the temperature rise time in the warehouse when the electricity price is high during the day, and reduce the start-up time during the high electricity price period during the day, especially in the pipe warehouse, there is more refrigerant liquid stored in the end pipe and has a better cooling storage function;

Pain point 4: The customer said that the air cooler equipment in their production base in the United States often has the problem of frost, which not only consumes energy but also leads to insufficient cooling capacity in the cold storage.
CBFI Solution: CBFI adopts hot gas defrosting, high-pressure exhaust heating, high quality heat source, high defrosting efficiency, clean defrosting, no additional energy consumption; Our flooded system is equipped with medium, high and low temperature barrel pump skids according to the different temperature zones of the system, and barrel pump skids for penetrating halls and high temperatures are used as the refrigeration source and also as the defrosting discharge barrel of the low-temperature system, so that the system can run stably in the defrosted state.
Pain point 5: The customer's products need to be produced in a very low quick-freezing environment, the equipment is required to be clean and hygienic to meet the requirements of food safety production, and the production site is limited.
CBFI Solution: Double Helix Quick Freezer Storage. The internal temperature of the double spiral quick-freezing storage is stable at -42 °C, and the quick-freezing effect is very good, which is suitable for customers to use various fish products. It occupies a small area, adopts the form of multi-layer spiral structure, and has a large amount of freezing. Its structural design is suitable for assembly line production, and the import and export are easier to combine with other supporting equipment at the same height.
