The client is the world's largest producer of basa fish, advocating and pioneering the entire basa fish industry chain. Their farming area spans 6.2 million hectares, with a production capacity of 1,000 tons of fish fillets. They own 32 warehousing centers globally.
In southern China, the client has established a production base primarily focused on processing, producing, and selling basa fish, including raw materials, deep-processed products, and by-products. The facility also supplies other products such as mandarin fish, blackfish, and sea bass. The entire production process adheres to strict standards and quality requirements, showcasing a company that combines both quality and strength.
Icesource(CBFI) has designed, constructed, and provided two large-scale projects for the client. Phase one includes blast freezers, curing rooms, chillers, and other supporting equipment. Phase two comprises a double spiral freezer, a 600 cubic meter cold storage facility, and another blast freezer.
The client's processing plan targets a daily production capacity of 45 tons, but the requirements for the two phases differ significantly. Phase one demands rapid construction and commissioning within a short period, while phase two, which has a substantial freezing demand, requires reducing the electricity consumption per ton of frozen goods by 40% compared to regular usage, thus imposing clear energy-saving requirements on the equipment.
For phase one, two sets of air-cooled blast freezers and curing rooms will be built, using a direct-expansion refrigeration system to quickly come online in a short time, addressing the urgent need for capacity expansion during the client's peak season.
For phase two, a double spiral freezer and three sets of -18°C finished product cold storage facilities will be constructed, utilizing a flooded evaporator shell-and-tube pump system. This system will be integrated with the phase one equipment and leverage Ice Spring's proprietary technology to perfectly meet the client's requirement for reducing energy consumption.
